泰山別於丘陵者高大也（丘者。土之聚也。陵者。大阜乃高土阜也。泰山東嶽也。至高至大。比於丘陵。故有差別）。

Mount Tai is distinguished from mounds and hills by its height and grandeur. (A mound is a gathering of earth; a hill is a great mound, a high earthen hill. Mount Tai is the Eastern Sacred Peak; supremely high and supremely great, compared to mounds and hills, there is an immense difference.)
