而先聖後聖。無處言時民之弗孝也（復結上文意。先聖後聖。指上古中古而言謂六經諸史竝不見定言時民之不孝也）。

Yet earlier sages and later sages nowhere say that the people of that time were unfilial (again concluding the previous meaning: earlier sages and later sages refer to high antiquity and middle antiquity; it means that across the Six Classics and various histories, one nowhere finds it stated that the people of that time were unfilial).
