至於孔釣不綱（論語。綱網之大繩。屬音獨。綱絕流而魚者是也。孔子少貧賤。為養生與祭。或不得已而釣也）。

As for Confucius angling without using a net line (The Analects says: gang is the main cord of a large net; shu is pronounced du; gang means blocking the current to catch fish. When Confucius was young, poor, and of humble status, in order to provide support for his mother and offer sacrifices, he perhaps had no choice but to angle with a rod);
