Knowing contentment, one incurs no disgrace; knowing when to stop, one faces no danger; (['Danger':] dai means perilous. When one knows when to act and when to stop, one will not endanger one's body; hence it says 'knowing contentment, one incurs no disgrace.' Shu Guang of the Han said: 'If the worthy has much wealth, it impairs his aspiration; if the foolish has much wealth, it increases his faults.' Hence it says 'knowing when to stop, one faces no danger.')
