富貴而驕。自遺其咎（驕矜肆也。咎殃也。凡居富貴之位不守其分而馳騁。富貴驕傲者。乃自遺棄其位而反招殃咎也）。

'Wealth and honor accompanied by arrogance bring about one's own ruin.' (['Arrogance':] jiao means boastfulness and indulgence; jiu means disaster. Whenever one dwelling in a position of wealth and honor fails to keep within one's bounds and instead runs wild, arrogant in wealth and honor, one casts away one's position and in turn invites disaster and blame.)
