姚秦拜首羅什（釋氏通鑑。姚秦即姚興也。都長安。因討龜慈得羅什於終南山。賜立逍遙園翻譯眾經。乃以香華敬禮待之。合國王臣事禮也）。

The Yao Qin bowed their heads to [Kumāra]jīva. (The General Chronicle of the Lineage of Śākya states: Yao Qin refers to Yao Xing. He had his capital at Chang'an. Having subdued Kucha, he obtained Kumārajīva at Mount Zhongnan and bestowed the construction of the Xiaoyao Garden to translate scriptures. He treated him with incense, flowers, and reverence, and the entire state, ruler and ministers, served him with respect.)
