是以君子之道。或出或處或默或語。用之則行。舍之則藏（是故君子所行之道於語默動靜之間。可進則進可止則止）。

Therefore, the Way of the noble person: sometimes he comes forward, sometimes he remains secluded; sometimes he is silent, sometimes he speaks; when employed, he acts; when set aside, he withdraws (therefore, in the Way practiced by the noble person, between speaking and silence, movement and rest, when he can advance he advances, and when he can stop he stops).
