昨夜有光。來照殿庭。是何祥瑞。蘇由對曰。西方有聖人生。此所現之靈瑞也。王曰。於國何如（於我國家。不知善惡何如）。

"Last night a light came and illuminated the palace courtyard. What auspicious sign is this?" Su You replied, "A sage has been born in the west; this is the miraculous sign manifested thereby." The king said, "What will this mean for the state?" (Regarding our state, will it be good or bad?).
