但以爝火之光照燭無遠（爝火者。小火把也。謙曰。我若火把。小光用照於夜。則其照燭明亮莫之能遠）。

Relying merely on the faint light of a torch, my illumination does not reach far (a 爝火 is a small torch. Speaking humbly: I am like a torch, using a little light to illuminate the night, so its bright illumination cannot reach far).
