老子曰。多言數窮不如守中（頻數也。道不屬言。言多數而氣窮。不如守一中之道）。

'Laozi said: "Much talk frequently leads to exhaustion; it is better to hold to the center." (Shu means frequently. The Way does not pertain to words. When words are many and frequent, vital energy is exhausted; it is better to hold to the singular Way of the center.)
