The guest said, 'I have received your instruction concerning the principle of differences and similarities in how the three sages established their teachings. May I venture to ask whether the Way by which the sages traced things to their origin and returned to their end may also be heard?' (Tracing their origin to know where life comes from, and returning to their end to know where death goes—may I be permitted to hear such principles?)
