大和上。法留喻筏照委傳燈。久證涅槃示存齋忌。永惟付囑深眷徽猷。薄施香茶有煩陳謝也。

Great Master: Your Dharma remains like the raft of the metaphor, and its brilliance is entrusted to the transmission of the lamp. Though having long realized nirvāṇa, you observe his memorial day. We ever ponder his entrustment and deeply care for his fine model. In offering merely a modest amount of fragrant tea, there was no need to trouble yourself to express thanks.
