3.89

右特進試鴻臚卿大興善寺三藏沙門大廣智不空奏。前件僧比將解撿校僧事。不空遂舉充興善寺主。今得徒眾如謙等狀稱。其僧自任綱維。侵損常住。毀圻僧舍屋。修自己私房。非理役使家人。手功已下妾聚尼眾止宿不護嫌疑。見被京兆府推問。事跡彰露。恐令准法科繩。法門之中實可愧恥。伏乞存其法服不奪僧名。勒歸陸渾本寺。許其改過。為國修持。

The above was memorialized by Amoghavajra of Vast Wisdom, Specially Advanced, Probationary Court of Imperial Regalia Chamberlain, Tripiṭaka Śramaṇa of Daxingshan Temple: Previously, when the aforementioned monk appeared capable of overseeing monastic affairs, Amoghavajra accordingly recommended him to serve as the abbot of Xingshan Temple. Now, I have received a complaint from Ruqian and others among the monastic assembly stating that this monk, since taking charge of the administration, has misappropriated the permanent property of the community, demolished monks' quarters to build his own private rooms, unreasonably driven family servants, and engaged in illicit relations with wives, concubines, and assemblies of nuns who lodge there without avoiding suspicion. He is currently being interrogated by Jingzhao Municipal Government, and his misdeeds have been exposed. Fearing that he may be punished according to the penal law, which would truly bring shame upon the Dharma gate, I humbly beg that his monastic robes be preserved and his monk's status not be stripped, but that he be ordered to return to his original temple in Luhun, allowing him to reform his errors and practice for the sake of the state.
