沙門惠超言。伏奉前月二十六日中使李獻誠奉宣口勅。令惠超往盩厔縣玉女潭修香火祈雨。惠超行闕精修。謬揚　天旨。山川靈應不昧禱祈。初建壇場谿聲乍吼。及投舍利雨足如絲。一夕而草樹增華。信宿而川原流潦。澤深枯涸。慶洽人神。伏惟　陛下聖德動天。天澤先降。豈惠超微物精誠感通。無任喜慶抃躍之至。謹因中使李憲誠入奏奉表陳賀以聞。沙門惠超誠惶誠恐謹言。

The śramaṇa Huichao states: On the twenty-sixth day of the preceding month, I respectfully received the palace commissioner Li Xiancheng proclaiming the verbal imperial edict ordering Huichao to go to the Jade Maiden Pool in Zhouzhi County to tend incense and fire and pray for rain. Huichao lacks refined cultivation in conduct and falsely conveyed the heavenly decree. Yet the numinous response of the mountains and streams was not indifferent to the prayer: when the altar arena was first erected, the sound of the stream suddenly roared; and when the relics were cast into the water, the rain fell in dense strands like thread. In a single night, grass and trees flourished; over two nights, rivers and plains overflowed with waters. The moisture ran deep into the parched lands, and celebration suffused humans and spirits alike. We humbly reflect that Your Majesty's sagacious virtue moves heaven, so heavenly moisture descended beforehand; how could it be that an insignificant creature like Huichao moved it through sincere devotion? Unable to bear my utmost joy and leaping celebration, I respectfully submit this memorial via the palace commissioner Li Xiancheng upon his entering to report, in order to present my congratulations and bring them to your hearing. The śramaṇa Huichao states this with sincere awe and fear.
