5.24

沙門惠朗言。惠朗至微瑜伽一介。叨承　聖澤。濫沐殊私。出入　金門。薰修別殿。幸奉　明詔。頻對九重。紫綬袈裟特蒙　恩賜。不但榮飾先師。實亦光耀後學。微僧無任悲感。謹奉表陳謝以聞。不勝戰灼之至。誠歡誠喜謹言。

The monk Huilang states: Huilang is a most insignificant lone practitioner of Yoga. Presumptuously receiving the Imperial Favor and unworthily bathed in extraordinary benevolence, I go in and out of the Golden Gates and practice cultivation in the separate halls. Fortunately receiving the bright decrees, I have frequently faced the Ninefold Palace. The purple-sashed kāṣāya has been extraordinarily bestowed through Imperial Favor. This not only glorifies and adorns my late master, but truly also illuminates later students. This petty monk is beyond measure filled with sorrowful gratitude. I respectfully present this memorial to express my gratitude and report it. Utterly trembling with awe, with sincere joy and sincere happiness, I respectfully speak.
