The monk Huilang states: Today I humbly received the Palace Envoy Li Xiancheng proclaiming the Imperial Will, specially bestowing one plaque inscribed in gold clerical script for the Pavilion of the Great Sage Mañjuśrī. The Imperial brush and divine traces are extraordinary in their calligraphic power. The name boldly 'Protects the Nation,' and the characters illuminate the heavenly patterns. Like magpies turning and phoenixes wheeling, they seem vividly in flight; with dragon-like bearing and martial vigor, they tower far above the wind and clouds. Surpassing hanging dew in the nine heavens, they strike awe like falling boulders from a thousand fathoms. The golden radiance is dazzling, suspended together with the sun and moon; the Sage's traces serve as a model, imperishable alongside heaven and earth. Greeting and gazing upon it, eyes are refreshed; reflecting and contemplating it, mind and spirit are invigorated. What great fortune for this petty monk to be bathed in these waves of imperial favor! Carrying the high heavens on my head, I feel ashamed to the point of having no ground to stand on. Utterly leaping with joy, dread, and reverence, I respectfully present this memorial to express my gratitude and report it. The monk Huilang, with sincere joy and sincere gratitude, respectfully speaks.
