先和上寂滅歸常。驟移星序。益多傷悼。追崇福祐。齋施所資。顧非厚給。煩此申謝也。
"The late Upādhyāya passed into extinction and returned to the Absolute. The stellar order has swiftly shifted, increasing our grief and lamentation. To honor him post-mortem with auspicious merit, we provided these vegetarian offerings; they are hardly generous gifts, yet you trouble yourself to express thanks in this manner."
