5.91

Reverently receiving the imperial command addressed to Li Yuancong: Monks and nuns throughout the realm are ordered to recite the Uṣṇīṣavijayā Dhāraṇī. They are given a time limit of one month to recite it until they are thoroughly proficient. Furthermore, they are instructed to recite it twenty-one times each day. Every year, on the first day of the first month, when envoys are sent to congratulate the New Year, they shall report the full number of recitations and present it to the throne.
