世界壞時有大風起名曰壞散。悉能吹壞摩滅大千世界。金剛鐵圍山等一切萬物。時大千世界外。復有風起名障壞散。能隔風災得至餘方。若無此障風。十方無量阿僧祇世界。無不散滅（出華嚴經第三十卷）。

When the world is destroyed, a great wind arises named Destruction and Scattering. It can completely blow apart and obliterate the great-thousand world, the vajra iron ring of mountains, and all phenomena. At that time, outside the great-thousand world, another wind arises named Obstructing Destruction and Scattering, which can block the wind disaster from reaching other regions. Were it not for this obstructing wind, all the boundless asaṃkhyeya worlds of the ten directions would be scattered and destroyed. (From the Avataṃsaka-sūtra, fascicle 30.)
