皇帝同契等覺比德遍知。大弘經教並利法俗。廣延博古旁採遺文。於是散偈流章往往而出。今之所獲蓋亦多矣。

The Emperor, in accord with the Equal Enlightenment and matching the virtue of the All-Knowing, greatly promoted the scriptural teachings to benefit both the clerical and the secular. Broadly inviting those learned in antiquity, he gathered scattered writings from every quarter. Thereupon, dispersed verses and circulating chapters appeared here and there; what has now been obtained is indeed abundant.
