光音天（依品云光燿天語言口出淨光無邊）王名樂光（樓炭經云阿披附天菩薩又名光念又名光音聲）觀閻浮提臭穢惡氣。上熏七千萬里。是以菩薩不生光音（長阿含云天上百由旬遙聞臭氣甚於廁溷）二禪通名光音。有宮去於梵迦夷宮由旬一倍（出長阿含經第二十卷又出華嚴大智論菩薩處胎經）。

Ābhāsvara heaven (the *Vibhāṣā* chapter says: 'Bright Light Heaven; when speaking, their mouths emit boundless pure light'). The king is named Joyous Light (the Loutan jing calls it the Api-fu heaven; bodhisattvas also call it Light Mindfulness, or Light Sound). Observing the foul and wretched stench of Jambudvīpa ascending to reek for seven hundred million li, bodhisattvas therefore are not born in Ābhāsvara (the Dīrgha Āgama says: 'One hundred yojanas up in heaven, the foul stench can be smelled from afar, worse than a latrine.'). The second dhyāna is collectively termed Ābhāsvara. Its palace is twice the distance in yojanas from the Brahmakāyika palace (from the twentieth fascicle of the Dīrgha Āgama; also from the Avataṃsaka, Da zhidu lun, and Pusa chutai jing).
