勅新安寺釋僧豪。興皇寺釋法生等。相助檢讀。於是博綜經籍擇採祕要。上詢神慮取則成規。凡為五十卷。又目錄五卷。分為五秩。名為經律異相。將來學者。可不勞而博矣。

an imperial decree instructed the monk Senghao of Xin'an Temple, the monk Fasheng of Xinghuang Temple, and others to assist in examining and reading them. Thereupon, broadly synthesizing the scriptures and choosing the secret essentials, they submitted them for imperial consideration and took his models as standard rules. In all, it comprises fifty fascicles, with an additional catalogue in five fascicles, divided into five cases, entitled *Diverse Phenomena from the Sūtras and Vinaya* (*Jinglü yixiang*). Future scholars may thus gain wide knowledge without toil.
