17.10

巴連弗國有商主。名曰須陀那。中陰眾生來入母胎。即令其母質直溫和。無諸邪想。夫以問師。師答曰。懷良善子。後生一兒。名曰脩羅陀。年漸長大。求欲出家。父母即聽。勤行精進。證羅漢果（出阿含經第二十五卷）。

In the kingdom of Pāṭaliputra there was a merchant leader named Sudhana. When an intermediate-state being entered the mother's womb, he immediately caused his mother's character to become upright and gentle, free of all deviant thoughts. The husband inquired of a master, and the master answered: 'She carries an excellent and virtuous child.' Later she gave birth to a son named Śroṇa. As he gradually grew older, he sought to leave the household life; his parents consented. He practiced vigorously and realized the fruit of an arhat.
