18.70

有沙門先共學道。同住一堂。一沙門言。此沙門惡性不可共止。捐往他國。還過視之。為得道未。夜到其舍。沙門鑰開召呼前坐。舉五指頭火出外來。沙門即大驚愕。歎其得道（出一卷雜喻經）。

There were śramaṇas who had previously studied the Way together, residing in the same hall. One śramaṇa said: "This śramaṇa has a bad nature and cannot be lived with." Abandoning him, he went to another country. Later, he returned and stopped by to see whether he had attained the Way or not. At night he arrived at his dwelling. The śramaṇa unlocked the door, summoned him forward, and had him sit down. Raising the tips of his five fingers, fire emerged outward. The [visiting] śramaṇa was greatly astonished and praised his attainment of the Way. (Extracted from the Miscellaneous Parables Sūtra, single scroll).
