一切皆無常　恨不飯師子
奈何罪厄身　貪命無功死
無功已可恨　復污人中水
懺悔十方佛　願垂照我心
前世諸惡業　現償皆令盡
從是值明師　修行盡作佛

"All things are impermanent; / I regret not having fed the lion. / How wretched this body of sin and distress, / clinging to life only to die without merit! / That it is without merit is already regrettable, / and it further defiles the water of humankind. / I repent before the Buddhas of the ten directions; / may they deign to illuminate my mind! / May all evil deeds of past lives / be completely repaid in the present. / From now on may I meet an enlightened teacher / and cultivate practice until I become a Buddha."
