野狐憍慢盛　欲求其眷屬
行到迦夷城　自稱是獸王
人憍亦如是　現領於徒眾
在摩竭之國　法主以自號

"The wild fox's arrogance surged,
Wishing to seek its entourage.
Reaching the city of Kāśī,
It claimed to be the king of beasts.
Arrogant humans are also like this:
Currently commanding a following,
In the kingdom of Magadha,
Styling himself master of the Dharma."
