26.14

佛言。時王薩和達者我身是也。彼國王者舍利弗是也。婆羅門子調達是也。成我六波羅蜜。三十二相十種力滿諸功德。皆是調達恩。調達是我善知識。亦為善師（出佛說一切施主所行六度檀波羅蜜經）。

The Buddha said: “King Sarvadā of that time was myself. The king of that other country was Śāriputra. The brāhmaṇa youth was Devadatta. The fulfillment of my six pāramitās, the thirty-two marks, the ten powers, and the perfection of all merits were all through Devadatta's kindness. Devadatta was my good friend (kalyāṇamitra), and also my good teacher.” (From the Fo shuo yiqieshizhu suoxing liudu tanpoluomi jing.)
