戒德可恃怙　福報常隨己
見法為人長　終遠三惡道
戒慎除苦畏　福報三界尊
鬼龍邪毒害　不犯有戒人

The virtue of the precepts can be relied upon;
Karmic reward always accompanies oneself.
Seeing the Dharma, one becomes a leader of men,
And remains forever far from the three bad destinies.

Vigilance in the precepts removes suffering and fear;
Their reward is honored across the three realms.
Demons, dragons, and evil poisons
Do not harm the person who keeps the precepts.
