牛頭栴檀香。從離垢山生。若以塗身。火不能燒（出華嚴經第四十二卷）。

Ox-head candana incense is born from the Mount Free from Defilement. If one smears it on the body, fire cannot burn it (from the forty-second fascicle of the *Avataṃsaka-sūtra*).
