3.64

大海之中。有四燃熾光明大寶。一名日藏光明大寶。二名離涸光明大寶。三名火珠光明大寶。四名究竟無餘光明大寶。若大海中無此四寶。四域天下金剛圍山。乃至非想非非想處皆悉漂沒。日藏光明。能變海水為酪。離涸光明。能變海酪為蘇。火珠光明。能燃海蘇。究竟無餘光明大寶。能然海蘇永盡無餘（出華嚴經第四十卷）。

Within the great ocean, there are four blazing great jewels of radiance: the first is named Great Jewel of Sun-Treasury Radiance; the second is named Great Jewel of Freedom-from-Drying Radiance; the third is named Great Jewel of Fire-Pearl Radiance; the fourth is named Great Jewel of Ultimate-Without-Remainder Radiance. If not for these four jewels in the great ocean, the four realms of the world, the Cakravāḍa iron mountains, and up to the sphere of neither-perception-nor-non-perception would all be flooded and submerged. The Sun-Treasury Radiance can transform the ocean water into curd; the Freedom-from-Drying Radiance can transform the ocean curd into clarified butter; the Fire-Pearl Radiance can set the ocean clarified butter on fire; the Ultimate-Without-Remainder Great Jewel of Radiance can burn the ocean clarified butter until it is completely exhausted without remainder (from the fortieth fascicle of the *Avataṃsaka-sūtra*).
