愚憃作惡　不能自解　殃追自焚
罪成熾然　愚所望處　不謂適苦
臨墮厄地　乃知不善

"The foolish commit evil, / unable to free themselves; / calamity pursues and burns them. / When sins mature, they blaze fiercely; / where the fool places hope, / they do not think they will encounter suffering. / Only when on the verge of falling into perilous ground / do they recognize unwholesomeness."
