35.16

大山上自投刀劍者。是王舍城大健鬪將。以猛勇故身處前鋒。或以刀劍矛楯傷剋物命故受此報。

The one casting himself down from the great mountain onto knives and swords was a great warrior general of Rājagṛha. Because of his fierce courage, he stood at the vanguard, and with knives, swords, spears, and shields he harmed and took the lives of creatures; therefore he receives this retribution.
