父言。癡人為女作患。即將女到佛所。左手持臂右手持瓶。因白佛言。今以此女相惠為妻。女見佛形婬意繫著。其心火燃。佛即說偈言。

The father said, “A foolish person brings trouble upon his daughter.” He then brought his daughter to the Buddha's place, holding her arm with his left hand and a pitcher with his right hand. He addressed the Buddha, saying, “I now present this daughter to you as a wife.” When the daughter saw the Buddha’s form, lustful desire bound her, and the fire of passion burned in her mind. The Buddha then spoke a verse:
