46.61

復有一鬼言。我以物自蒙籠頭。亦常畏人來殺我。心常怖懼不可堪忍。何因故爾。答言。汝前世時婬犯外色常畏人見。或畏其夫捉縛打殺。或畏官法戮之都市。恐怖相續。

Yet another ghost said, 'I cover my own head with something, and I am also constantly terrified that someone will come to kill me. My heart is in ceaseless dread that I cannot bear. What is the cause of this?' He answered, saying, 'In your previous life, you committed adultery with another's wife and were constantly afraid of being seen by others; or you feared her husband seizing, binding, beating, or killing you; or you feared the law of the state executing you in the marketplace. Thus fear was continuous.'
