47.65

佛言。水牛王即我是。為菩薩時墮罪為水牛中王。常行忍辱修四等心。慈悲喜護自致得佛（出生經第四分）。

The Buddha said, 'The buffalo king was none other than myself. When I was a bodhisattva, I fell due to offenses to become a king among buffaloes, constantly practicing patience and cultivating the four immeasurables—loving-kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy, and equanimity—thereby attaining buddhahood.'
