Thereupon, the two dragon kings went to Śāṇakavāsin's dwelling and said, “What does the Sage wish to do?” He answered, “I wish to build a monastery here; you should grant me permission.” The dragons replied, “It cannot be done.” The Elder said, “The Bhagavat already spoke of this: ‘Within one hundred years after my nirvāṇa, at the supreme place on Mount Mahāsāra, a monastery shall be built named Naṭabhaṭa.’” The dragon kings said again, “Did the Bhagavat truly say this?” The Elder replied, “Indeed.” The dragon kings said, “If the Bhagavat spoke of it, I shall comply as you wish.” (Extracted from Fascicle Seven of the Aśokarājasūtra)
