Among human beings there is an incense named Treasury of the Great Elephant, produced on account of dragons fighting. If one pellet is burned, it gives rise to a great light and fine clouds cover above, tasting like nectar. For seven days and seven nights, a rain of fragrant water falls. If it touches one's body, the body turns golden. If it touches clothing, palaces, or pavilions, they likewise all turn golden. If any sentient beings catch scent of this incense, for seven days and seven nights they are joyful and glad; all their illnesses are extinguished without any untimely or violent death; they leave far behind any mind of fear, harm, or danger, and focus exclusively on great loving-kindness, universally mindful of sentient beings. I know them and preach the Dharma for them, causing immeasurable sentient beings to attain non-retrogression (from the forty-second fascicle of the *Avataṃsaka-sūtra*).
