經律異相 47.20

English (machine translation) 47.20

Language: English

47.20

'"Though I am a small bird,
I recognize kindness and do not begrudge death.
It is only the King who forgets kindness,
Breaking your own solemn vow.
If you could be slightly magnanimous
And grant me a little favor,
Even dying, I would bear no grudge,
Nor dare to offer blame or criticism."'
