稽首諸佛　願護神威　當陳誠請
罔或尤譏　沈晦未寤　圓覺所歸
久淪愛海　舟檝攸希　異執乖競
和合是依　玄離取有　理絕過違
慢乖八正　戲入百非　同捨異辯
染淨混微　簡金去礫　琢玉除羈
能仁普鑒　疑慮研機　契成大道
敦敢毀誹　諤諤崇德　唯唯侵衰
惟願留聽　慶有發揮　望矜悃悃
垂誨慈悲　採集聖教　纂要承暉
十周方成　三業勞疲　冀傳末代
聞略知機　八邪息諍　四句殄非
祛惑存信　熏成智微　含生同感
願各轉依

I bow my head to all Buddhas,
Praying that their divine majesty protect me.
I shall now present my sincere plea;
May there be no blame or ridicule.
Sunken in obscurity, not yet awakened,
Complete enlightenment is that to which we return.
Long submerged in the sea of craving,
Boats and oars are that which we hope for.
Divergent attachments bring discord and contention;
Harmony and unity are what we rely upon.
The profound departs from grasping and existence;
The principle is beyond faults and transgressions.
Arrogance runs contrary to the eightfold noble path;
Playful frivolity enters into the hundred negations.
Discarding together divergent disputations,
Defilement and purity are subtly commingled.
Refining gold and removing pebbles;
Carving jade and casting off fetters.
The Capable and Benevolent One (Śākyamuni) universally observes;
Doubts and hesitations are investigated at their inception.
When accord with the Great Way is achieved,
Who would dare slander or revile it?
Speaking candidly exalts virtue;
Meek complacence invites decline.
I only pray that you deign to listen,
Rejoicing that there is something expounded.
I hope you will pity my sincere devotion,
And bestow compassionate instruction.
I have collected the sacred teachings,
Compiling their essentials to inherit their radiance.
Ten cycles were needed for it to be completed;
My three modes of action have grown weary and exhausted.
I hope it will be transmitted to future ages,
So that hearing the outline, they will know the critical points.
The eight evils will quiet their disputes;
The four propositions will extinguish errors.
Dispelling confusion and preserving faith,
It perfumes and brings about the subtle wisdom.
May all sentient beings together feel this resonance,
And may each attain the transformation of the basis!
