11.12
菩薩又言。或為五欲故。生天生人。既得生已著五欲故投身透水。或復赴火。為五欲故自求怨讎。又說偈言。
The Bodhisattva also said: "Some are born in heaven or as humans for the sake of the five desires; having obtained birth, through attachment to the five desires they throw themselves into water or cast themselves into fire; for the sake of the five desires, they make enemies for themselves." He further spoke a gāthā:
