何等生二足尊　何等出叢林苦　何等得最上道　何等入般涅槃　沸星出二足尊　沸星出叢林苦　沸星得最上道　沸星入般涅槃　八日如來生　八日佛出家　八日成菩提　八日取滅度　二月如來生　二月佛出家　二月成菩提　二月取涅槃　二月生二足尊　二月出叢林苦　二月得最上道　八月般涅槃城

"When was the Two-Footed Honoured One born?
When did he depart the suffering of the thicket?
When did he attain the supreme Way?
When did he enter parinirvāṇa?
When the Puṣya asterism appeared, the Two-Footed Honoured One was born;
When the Puṣya asterism appeared, he departed the suffering of the thicket;
When the Puṣya asterism appeared, he attained the supreme Way;
When the Puṣya asterism appeared, he entered parinirvāṇa.
On the eighth day, the Tathāgata was born;
On the eighth day, the Buddha went forth;
On the eighth day, he attained bodhi;
On the eighth day, he attained extinction.
In the second month, the Tathāgata was born;
In the second month, the Buddha went forth;
In the second month, he attained bodhi;
In the second month, he entered nirvāṇa.
In the second month, the Two-Footed Honoured One was born;
In the second month, he departed the suffering of the thicket;
In the second month, he attained the supreme Way;
In the eighth month, he entered the city of parinirvāṇa."
