16.33

諸佛同證無為體　真如理實本無緣
為誘諸天現兜率　其猶幻士出眾形
元無人馬迷將有　達者知幻未曾然
佛身本淨皆如是　愚夫不了謂同凡
知佛無來見真佛　於茲必得永長歡
故我頂禮彌勒佛　唯願慈尊度有情

All Buddhas equally realize the unconditioned essence;
The truth of tathatā is fundamentally without conditions.
To guide the devas, he manifests in Tuṣita,
Just as an illusionist produces various forms.
Where originally there were no men or horses, the deluded take them as real;
Those who have realized know illusion never truly was.
The Buddha’s body is fundamentally pure, always like this;
Foolish mortals do not comprehend, deeming him the same as ordinary beings.
Knowing the Buddha has no coming, one sees the true Buddha;
Herein one will surely attain everlasting joy.
Therefore I bow my head to Maitreya Buddha;
I only pray the Compassionate Honoured One will deliver sentient beings.
