16.42

諸佛常居清淨剎　受用報體量無窮
凡夫肉眼未曾識　為現千尺一金軀
眾生視之無厭足　令知業果現閻浮
但能聽經勤誦法　逍遙定往兜率宮
三塗於茲必永絕　將來同證一法身
故我頂禮彌勒佛　唯願慈尊度有情

The Buddhas constantly dwell in pure lands,
Their enjoyment-reward bodies being immeasurable in scale.
Ordinary mortals with physical eyes have never known them;
For their sake he manifests a single golden form of a thousand cubits.
Sentient beings look upon it without sating,
Causing them to understand karmic fruit manifested in Jambudvīpa.
If one can only hear the sūtras and diligently recite the Dharma,
One will serenely and surely go to the Tuṣita Palace.
The three bad destinies will hereby be eternally severed,
And in the future one will together realize the single dharmakāya.
Therefore I bow my head to Maitreya Buddha;
I only pray the Compassionate Honoured One will deliver sentient beings.
