17.56

又中邊分別論云。大乘修有十。一書寫。二供養。三施與他。四若他讀誦一心聽聞。五自讀。六自如理取名味句及義。七如道理及名句味顯說。八正心聞誦。九空處如理思量。十已入意為不退失故。

Moreover, the Madhyāntavibhāga-śāstra says: Mahāyāna cultivation has ten [aspects]: first, copying; second, making offerings; third, giving to others; fourth, listening with a single mind when others read and recite; fifth, reading it oneself; sixth, properly grasping its terms, phrases, syllables, and meaning oneself; seventh, clearly explaining it in accordance with reason and terms, phrases, and syllables; eighth, hearing and reciting with a correct mind; ninth, reflecting properly in a secluded place; tenth, having entered the mind, not falling away from it.
