2.44

憶念餘生時　為人作子婦
嫜嫗性狂暴　常加麁惱言
執節脩婦禮　卑遜而奉順
今見處宮殿　乘虛而遊行
天身如金聚　天女百中勝
觀察斯福德　供養中為最

"I remember that in a past life
I was a daughter-in-law to others;
My parents-in-law were ferocious and wild by nature,
Constantly heaping harsh and vexing words upon me.
I upheld moderation, practiced the rites of a wife,
And humbly complied with them.
Now you see me dwelling in a palace,
Mounting the void and wandering about,
My heavenly body like a mass of gold,
Surpassing a hundred other heavenly maidens.
Observe this merit and virtue:
It is the supreme among offerings!"
