20.12

又菩薩本行經云。正使化無數億計人成辟支佛。有人百歲四事供養。功德甚多。不如有人以歡喜心一四句偈讚歎如來功德無量。

Furthermore, the Sūtra on the Bodhisattva's Past Practices says: 'Even if one were to transform countless koṭis of people so that they became pratyekabuddhas, and someone provided them with the four requisites of offerings for a hundred years, their merit would be exceedingly great; yet it would not equal someone who, with a joyful mind, praises the Tathāgata with a single four-line verse, whose merit is immeasurable.'
