24.7

又涅槃經云。若有受持讀誦書寫宣說。非時非國不請而說。輕心輕他自歎隨處而說。反滅佛法。乃至令無量人死墮地獄。則是眾生惡知識也。

Furthermore, the *Nirvāṇa Sūtra* states: If anyone upholds, recites, copies, or expounds [it] at an improper time, in an improper country, or preaches without being requested, or preaches anywhere with a contemptuous mind, despising others and praising himself, he contrarily extinguishes the Buddha-Dharma, even causing immeasurable numbers of people to die and fall into hell; such a person is an evil companion to sentient beings.
