During the Qi, in Jingzhou, there was the monk Senghui, surnamed Liu, though it is not known where he was from. He resided in Jingzhou for several decades. Liu Qiu of Nanyang, who was at Zhiqi Temple, invited him to come. People of the time had seen him for fifty or sixty years, yet in the end he did not age. His manner was casual, without much dignified deportment. Whenever he visited the home of a sick person, if he showed anger, the person would surely die; if he was pleased, the person would surely recover. People of the time all took this as an omen. As for those he had not yet met, he knew the state of life or death of their relatives. Hui once went to the riverbank and told the ferry warden that he sought to cross. Because the boat was small, the warden was pressed and had not yet crossed him over. In an instant, people already saw Hui on the opposite bank. Everyone marveled at this divine anomaly. Zhen Tian of Zhongshan and Che Tan of Nanping invited Hui on the same day, and Hui attended both. Later, when the two families verified and compared notes, they realized he had divided his body. During the Yongming era of the Qi, the Wenhui [Crown Prince] summoned him down to the capital. While traveling, he passed Baozhi. Zhi patted his back and said: "Son of the Red Dragon." He said nothing else. Later, when Hui returned to Jing[zhou], he encountered the Senior Clerk of the Pacification of the West, Liu Jingrui, and suddenly wept bitterly and threw himself upon him. A few days later, Rui was indeed killed by the regional inspector. Later, when he went south of the city of Xiangzhou, he suddenly said: "There are steles in the earth." The crowd tried digging, and indeed found two of them. Later, no one knew where Hui ended his days. Some say he died at Changsha Temple in Jiangling during the Yongyuan era.
