晉獻公二年。周惠王居于鄭。鄭人入王府。多取化為蜮射人。萇弘見殺。蜀人藏其血。故三年而為碧。

In the second year of Duke Xian of Jin, King Hui of Zhou resided in Zheng. The people of Zheng entered the royal treasury and took many [weapons], which transformed into yuxi [sand-spitting beasts] that shot at people. Chang Hong was put to death; the people of Shu preserved his blood, and after three years it turned into green jade.
