漢建平中。豫章有男子。化為女子。嫁為人婦生一子。長安陳鳳曰。陽變為陰。將亡繼嗣。生一子者。將復一世乃絕也。故使哀帝崩平帝沒。而王莽篡焉。

During the Jianping era of the Han, in Yuzhang, there was a man who transformed into a woman; she married a man as his wife and bore a son. Chen Feng of Chang'an said, 'Yang changing into yin portends the loss of heirs. Bearing one son means it will last for one more generation and then be cut off.' Therefore, it caused Emperor Ai to collapse and Emperor Ping to perish, and Wang Mang usurped the throne.
